THE 52nd ANNUAL MEETING OF THE MICHIGAN CHAPTER-SOCIETY FOR NEUROSCIENCE

 Saturday, August 20, 2022 (9 AM-5 PM)

This year we are celebrating the 52nd annual meeting of the Michigan Chapter of the Society for Neuroscience. This longevity would not be possible without the generous support of companies who have provided sponsorship money to help us keep meeting costs low, and to help us to continue supporting our students and the community.

 

We expect 150-300 neuroscientists and students to converge at Central Michigan Universityfrom research institutions across the state. Unlike other online events, expect participants to approach you at a booth as an avatar. When they approach your booth you can share your screen or camera to showcase your materials in a video-chat form. Meeting highlights include a poster session, paper and poster competitions for students, and an afternoon symposium featuring the Founder’s Award winner and the keynote speaker Dr. Deborah Shear discussing her research on traumatic brain injury. 

 

Our total meeting costs range between $10,000 – 15,000, which includes costs such as food, space and display rental, support staff, keynote speaker honorarium, and student paper and poster awards.  We recapture some of these costs with the meeting registration fee, but since many attendees are students (undergraduate and graduate) and our goal is to keep their registration costs low, we depend on other support as a significant source of meeting support.

This year we are offering different levels of sponsorship:

​

• Bronze Sponsor: $100- Companies and institutions providing Bronze sponsorship will receive a ½ page advertisement in the meeting program and recognition as a Bronze Sponsor on the Chapter website.

• Silver Sponsor: $300- In addition to recognition as a Silver Sponsor on the Chapter website and a ½ page advertisement in the meeting program, companies providing silver sponsorship will have a booth during the conference, 

• Key Sponsor: $1,000- In addition to the live-interactive booth, Key Sponsors will receive a full-page advertisement in the meeting program and recognition as a Key Sponsor on the Chapter website. In addition, your company or institution name and logo will be displayed on our slide show during the meeting sessions.
